Rashan Package Distribution Started in Pakistan by King Salman Relief Center

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has officially begun the third phase of its 2025 Food Security Support Project in Pakistan, aimed at helping vulnerable communities across the country.

As part of this initiative, KSRelief will distribute 30,000 food packages in 34 underprivileged districts of Pakistan. These packages are expected to benefit more than 210,000 people, providing much-needed support to low-income and disaster-affected families.

The launch ceremony took place at the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad. Prominent attendees included:

  • Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan
  • Rana Tanveer Hussain, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Food Security & Research
  • Abdullah Al-Baqami, Director of KSRelief Pakistan

This phase follows the successful completion of the first two stages of the project. During the previous five months, KSRelief distributed 60,000 food packages across 61 districts in Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Each package is carefully designed to meet a family’s basic monthly food needs and weighs approximately 95 kilograms. The contents include:

  • 80 kg wheat flour
  • 5 kg gram lentils (chana daal)
  • 5 liters of cooking oil
  • 5 kg sugar

These food parcels will be distributed under the supervision of the King Salman Relief Center in collaboration with local authorities, ensuring transparent and effective delivery to those in need.

This humanitarian effort aims to:

  • Reduce food insecurity
  • Improve nutritional health
  • Support communities affected by natural disasters and poverty

KSRelief, along with local administrations, will identify deserving families through a verification process to ensure that the aid reaches the right people.

This project highlights the continued commitment of Saudi Arabia towards supporting Pakistan’s efforts in fighting hunger and helping its most vulnerable citizens.
