Iraqi Hezbollah Warns the U.S.: “If You Intervene in Iran-Israel Conflict, Your Bases Will Be Targeted”

A powerful Iran-backed militant group in Iraq, Kataib Hezbollah, has issued a strong warning to the United States. The group stated that if America becomes militarily involved in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, then U.S. military bases and interests across the region will be targeted.
The statement was made by Abu Hussein Al-Hamidawi, the Secretary-General of Kataib Hezbollah. He said:
“We are closely monitoring all movements of the American forces in the region. If the United States directly intervenes in this war, we will not hesitate to strike all of its military bases and interests.”
Call for U.S. Embassy Closure and Bold Government Action
Abu Hussein also demanded the immediate closure of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. He urged the Iraqi government to adopt a brave and responsible stance to prevent the further escalation of the conflict in the region. He appealed to sincere and responsible members within the Iraqi leadership to take urgent steps to stop the spread of war.
The Secretary-General further stated that:
“If the war intensifies in the region, we will no longer tolerate any American military or diplomatic presence in Iraq. Their continued presence will pose the biggest threat to Iraq’s security and stability.”
Iraqi Government Rejects Use of Its Airspace by Israel
In a separate official statement released a day earlier, the Iraqi government condemned the use of its airspace in Israeli attacks. It called the action “unacceptable” and made it clear that:
“We completely reject any violation of Iraq’s airspace, and we urge the United States to stop Israeli aircraft from using Iraqi skies.”
The government also confirmed that it has formally submitted a complaint to the United Nations regarding this violation.
Iranian Pressure and Rising Regional Tensions
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on the Iraqi government to prevent the U.S. from using Iraqi airspace and territory against Iran. Iran claims that the U.S. is indirectly supporting Israel’s recent military actions.
These developments have intensified regional tensions, with both Iran and its allies warning of serious consequences if the United States becomes directly involved in the conflict with Israel.
