Afghan authorities refused to hand over SP Tahir Dawar’s body
JALALABAD: Mohmand tribe in Afghanistan on Thursday has refused to hand over the body of Superintendent of Police Tahir Dawar to Pakistani officials.
According to sources, the Afghan authorities have clarified that the corpse will only be given to member of National Assembly Mohsin Dawar as State Minister Shehryar Afridi and Shaukat Yousafzai arrived at the Torkham Border.
Ealier, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi has vowed to bring killers of Superintendent of Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar to justice.
During Senate session, he revealed that Dawar was kidnapped from Islamabad and shifted to Afghanistan via Mianwali and Bannu. An FIR was registered in Ramna Police Station Islamabad on November 28 regarding disappearance of the martyred police officer, he told.
The minister went on to say that not a single CCTV camera was able to capture recognizable pictures of vehicles and the suspects.
